About Us

SELF-CARE. SELF-ACCEPTANCE. SELF-DISCOVERY.

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” – Theodore Roosevelt

OLI Yoga and Pilates Studio is a haven founded by Andrea Casco and Mildret Banegas —two moms inspired by the life-changing effects of these practices.

The studio is named in honour of Mildret's daughter, Olivia, who was born with a limb difference whose unique life journey is reflected in our logo and embodies our studio's ethos.

At OLI, our core belief is in embracing imperfection as a form of perfection, creating a welcoming space for everyBODY to connect with their authentic selves through mindful movement.

We are dedicated to fostering both physical strength and mental tranquility, PROVIDING GUIDANCE FOR all levels of fitness.

Our community offers a supportive and caring atmosphere, free from judgment.

Our heated and unheated classes, held in a dimly lit environment, promote a deep connection with oneself in a nurturing community free from comparison.

Meet the Founders

  • Hi! I'm Andrea.

My love for movement started in my scenic island hometown, Roatan, Honduras, where sports and nature first opened my eyes to the deeper benefits of physical activity as a pathway to inner peace and freedom.

As an instructor in cardio, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga, and dance, I've dedicated myself to nurturing a space where students can joyfully explore their limits and overcome challenges. My own battles with depression and anxiety have underscored the value of self-care and driven my commitment to help others on their journeys to self-discovery.

I believe that genuine beauty and strength radiate from within, waiting to be discovered and celebrated by all who dare to embrace their authentic selves.

I can’t wait to see you on the mat!

  • Hi! I’m Mildret,

I've always harboured a deep desire to effect change in the world, seeing myself as both a dreamer and a driven individual. Since I can remember, starting my own business has been my dream. I worked in various fields for a long time and landed my dream government job. But it wasn't enough.

Yoga changed my life six years ago when I realized there was a profound connection between me and my inner self. Yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises keep me grounded. Pilates was instrumental in rediscovering myself after giving birth to my daughter, Olivia.

Olivia, born with a limb difference, ignited a profound commitment within me to create safer spaces for her. Motivated by the absence of these, I resolved to build them, recognizing that enhancing her safety and well-being would benefit others, too. My aim isn't to shield her from the world but to ensure that her inner sanctum remains steadfast, rooted in self-assurance, inner beauty, empathy, and humility.

This is how OLI was created.
